Eduardo Ventilari Sodré

Me

I'm a second year math Ph.D. student at Brown University, and I'm grateful to be advised by Prof. Jeremy Kahn. Previously I was an undergraduate at the Mathematics and Statistics Institute of the University of São Paulo (IME-USP). Last year I was a Chancellor Robert Fellow and Chandler O. Meyer Fellow at Brown.

I am interested in holomorphic dynamics, quasiconformal maps, Riemann surfaces, Teichmüller spaces and Thurston theory.

If you don't know what complex dynamics is and want a nice exposition, I highly reccomend watching this video. (Alternatively, ask me about it!)

This Fall 2024 I am a TA for the course MATH0100. If you are a student, review important information about it on the Canvas website, including my office hours.

I studied Riemannian geometry for my undegraduate thesis under Prof. Claudio Gorodski, as the FAPESP project 21/10816-4.
